Welcome to Waldron Elementary
Waldron Elementary is a small neighborhood K-5 school that offers a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere to support all students in being successful.
Consider Waldron for your child if:
- You want your child to learn in an environment of high expectations.
- You want your child in small sized classrooms, where there are more one on one learning opportunities.
- You want your child in a classroom where there is interactive learning, where the students assist in the learning process.
- You believe teachers, administration and staff should collaborate with one another on a regular basis.
Outstanding, family oriented staff!
Waldron is proud to have teachers and staff whom work closely to ensure student growth and achievement. Students enjoy a welcoming learning environment. In addition to our amazing teachers, we also employee two full time instructional aides and one part time aide to assist in classrooms.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)
Students and staff participate in the PBIS program. With PBIS, Waldron teaches students about behavior, just as we would about other subjects. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. Students are recognized for making good decisions and show positive behaviors. We are proud to share that referrals to the office for behavior issues have steadily declined as the school year has continued. Principal Ledford shares, "When ALL students, teachers, and parents know the expectations and they are posted and clearly taught and modeled, we will see even greater social responsibility from our students which will lead to a happier and healthier school environment."
